“Opened 36 hours ago, this is my third taste and it’s humming. Primary black fruits with a hint of earthy charcoal, redcurrants and leather ensure the Hunter’s terroir is carried confidently by the olfactory signature. Hints of vanilla cream and chocolate stem from the expensive new and old French oak from a mixture of barriques and puncheons. It’s pillow soft and carries an intense red fruit line with a tannin framework that’s seamlessly woven as it passes through the palate. It gathers and rolls with a gentle momentum carrying the oak well and pushing through the finish with a delicate, spicy length. So much enjoyment already but an exultant future ahead too. 95 Points.
